Our great staff of college and prep coaches armed with a leading edge curriculum, will provide you with the insight, technical know-how, and motivation to raise your level of running to a new high. Stowe's marvelous array of challenging off-road terrain is simply the best. You'll learn the most proven training methods and review your progress via digitized videotape analysis. You'll learn Fartlek and interval training using heart rate monitors, pool running, speed development and running form, race rhythm and strategy, plyometrics and even X-train on mountain bikes.

Cross country
Campers run and cross-train (including mountain biking) on Stowe's many backcountry

General information about the Stowe Summer Sports Festival
Founder & Executive Director, Grady Vigneau
Grady, a college football All-American, a member of the University of New Hampshire
Athletic Hall of Fame and a decorated college football coach, was honored in
1997 for his outstanding work with young people through his summer sports camp
programs. Featured on the nationally syndicated TV show, "More Than a Game",
hosted by CNN Sports anchor Fred Hickman, Grady continues to be recognized for
his active leadership. His willingness to give back to the sports that have so
well defined his own success in life speak volumes about his commitment to young
people and the incredible value of the Summer Sports Festival.

The Round Hearth at Stowe, Vt.
The lodge is a dedicated Youth Group facility featuring "college-style" dorm
bunk
accommodations
on
gender-separate wings. The Lodge's "mountain country" location is ideally configured
to ensure safety, comfort, and fun. Camp Directors, coaches, and support staff
live at the lodge during camp week. Campers and coaches have exclusive use of
the facility, thus maximizing learning and training opportunities. Healthy,
home-cooked meals feature vegetarian alternatives and "all you can eat!" entrees.
The Round Hearth, featuring two outdoor hot tubs, is adjacent to the acclaimed
Stowe Recreation Path and ideally located to access endless running terrain.
